Homemaking Schedule

Hey y’all! It’s been a while since I have posted because I got married, moved, and quit my part-time job to be a housewife. I’m still learning about how to do this homemaking stuff and I thought that writing about it would help me to figure life out a little bit.

I did marry an infantryman so I’m still learning my husband’s work schedule and next week he’s going out to the field for six days, therefore I’m going to have to work around that as well. I also have two puppies and their bathroom, training and feeding schedule that I need to work around. So, without further ado, here’s my homemaking schedule:

2:00am – take puppies out (yes, I know this is early, but they don’t have the bladder control)
5:30am – wake up/use restroom/wish husband good PT
6:00am – take puppies out and make bed
6:30am – breakfast
7:00am – prepare breakfast for the men (my roommate works with my husband, so I have to make food for him too)
7:30am – clean up breakfast
8:00am – bible time (this usually involves a bible reading, a devotion, and a section of a book)
9:00am – laundry (this can be picking up laundry, starting a load, or putting laundry away depending on the day)
9:50am – breakfast for puppies and then take them out
10:00am – wipe down fixtures in bathroom
11:00am – prepare lunch for the men
12:00pm – snack #1
1:00pm – clean lawn of dog poop
1:30pm – lunch
2:00pm – take puppies out and train them for a bit
5:00pm – snack #2
6:00pm – dinner for puppies and take them out
8:30pm – dinner
10:00pm – puppies bathroom

When there are large spaces of time between two tasks, that just means that I’m free to do whatever I want.

Hopefully you enjoyed reading about my schedule and I’ll see ya next time.

xoxo Meghan
